Handmade Christmas: For the Kids

So in the rush leading up the holidays, I forgot to get pictures of most of my handmade gifts this year.  Here are two that I did record!

baby shoes small
For my best friend's new baby, I made The Purl Bee's Felt Baby Shoes.  I featured these as a Nice Thing a few weeks ago, and had actually already made them.  I didn't say anything about it, because I didn't want to ruin the present surprise!  This was one of those patterns that I saw and had to sit down and make instantly.  Luckily the pattern didn't disappoint - it was really fun to put together!

I also had a great time making Ginger & George's Dino Hoodies for my nephews.  Sadly I only have this one phone photo (taken by my brother in law), but trust me, these are adorable.  They were also very quick to sew, which is probably a good thing, because my six-year-old nephew is growing so fast that he might need a bigger one before winter is over!

Did you make any gifts this year?  How did they turn out?

Oh too cute! Do you think I could get away with wearing dear little shoes like that?

PS I'm having a giveaway on my blog if you're keen :)

these are so cute! I made a couple of wraps for my mom and MIL. Both ladies really liked them. Now back to my usual: selfish knitting! :)

I made my step-dad a hat which turned out really well. I also made one of my friends some wrist warmers from a pattern I made up myself (first pattern pride).

Those little booties are lovely. Well done on accomplishing such a sweet project.
