I came across this "about me" survey on Elycia's blog and thought it was cute and different. It definitely reminds me of my college days when all of my friends had Xanga pages, the content of which was about 40% silly surveys (that's right, I was in college in the days before both Facebook AND Myspace). Ah, my first foray into blogging! I'm glad my web publishing has improved since then, but I suppose it's okay to regress a little every once and awhile.
A. Age: 28; 29 in just a few weeks (eek!)
B. Bed size: Queen. I think it's perfect - I always feel like I'm too far from Nate in a king! A double feels TINY, though.
C. Chore that you hate: Can I answer "all of them?" I'm a terrible homemaker. If I had to choose, though, I'd pick laundry (since it involves going down into our building's yucky basement) or dishes - I hate sticking my hands in dirty dishwater. It's a good thing Nate is willing to take care of most of our cleaning.
D. Dogs: I love dogs. I currently have Percy, a greyhound. In the future, I'd love to have more retired racing greyhounds, and possibly an Irish Wolfhound or Great Dane, if we can find one to rescue.
E. Essential start to your day: Cereal and blogs.
F. Favourite color: I love them all, but blue (in any shade) is probably the eternal favorite.
G. Gold or Silver: It changes. Lately I've been loving the warmth of gold. I also like to mix them!
H. Height: 5'4" - I'm a shortie.
I. Instruments you play: None. I love listening to music, but have no talent for creating it.
J. Job title: Graduate Student (i.e. "will work for letters of recommendation").
K. Kids: Nope, not for me (I love my nieces and nephews, though).
L. Live: Ohio.
M. Mother's name: Connie.
N. Nicknames: Albert, Bert, Peanut, The A-bus (probably the most hilarious), among others.
O. Overnight hospital stays: None; I guess I've been lucky!
P. Pet peeve: drivers who don't respect pedestrians/bikers/scooterists.
Q. Quote from a movie: Anything from The Big Lebowski.
R. Right or left handed: Right.
S. Siblings: Three, all older.
T. Time you wake up: 7:30(ish) on weekdays, 9:00(ish) on weekends.
U. Underwear: Yes? I have no idea what this question is asking.
V. Vegetable you hate: I'm not sure if there are any; I LOVE veggies.
W. What makes you run late: Taking photos for the blog!
X. X-Rays you've had: just last week I had my foot x-rayed...other than that I think it's just been teeth.
Y. Yummy food that you make: Hmm...as well as not being a cleaner, I'm not much of a cooker. I can make a mean poached egg, though.
Z. Zoo animal: Giraffes, since they remind me of Percy.
