In the middle of yesterday's packing frenzy, Nate and I decided to go out to lunch. When we returned home, we found this. What do you think - is Caesar trying to tell me that he'd like to come along to Italy?

I think he is trying to cover your stuff in car hair so that all the European cats know to stay away.
When my cat was a bit more nimble, she would climb into the empty (or partially full) suitcases when we were going on vacation.
