Giveaway: Impossible Project PX-680 Film

Impossible Project PX 680 small

Oh how I love The Impossible Project.  Just when it looked like Polaroid film was going to disappear forever, they swooped in and recreated it, ushering in a whole new chapter in the story of instant photography.

I've loved all of The IP film I've shot with so far, but the new PX-680 is hands down my favorite.  It's more stable than some of the earlier films, but still experimental enough that it's fun to play with.  The colors can be rich and saturated or quiet and understated, depending on the light and your camera settings, and the focus is soft and hazy, with a dreamy vintage feel.  I've loved capturing my summer with it so far, and can't wait to shoot Italy and Greece with it in the next few months.

hanging basket small

Would you like to give PX-680 a try?  The Impossible Project is providing two lucky OPB readers with a pack each!

To enter: leave a comment telling us something you would like to shoot with your impossible project film this summer (be sure to leave an email address so I can contact you if you win)!

For bonus entries:
1. Be a follower of OPB (leave an extra comment telling me how you follow)
2. Share this giveaway on Facebook, Twitter, or your blog (each counts as an entry, be sure to leave a separate comment for each).
Feel free to use this tweet: win film for your #Polaroid from #OPB and @impossibleUSA! http://tinyurl.com/6ymqffp

International entries are welcome.  Comments will be open through midnight next Tuesday, June 14.  I'll announce the winner on Wednesday.  Good luck!

impossible project PX 680 2 small

PS - Don't have a Polaroid yet?  This would be the perfect time to give it a try!  PX-680 film works perfectly in 600 type cameras, which are very easy to find and extremely inexpensive.  You can find them for under $5 on Ebay and under $10 on Etsy.  For those prices, you might as well enter!

Ooh!! I don't have a Polaroid myself but I can do one of two things with the films:

1) Be generous and give them to my super-cool photographer sister or...
2) Buy a Polaroid for those cheap cheap prices!!

I'd take pictures this summer of the picnics I'm going to have every day!*

I have been involved with photography for about 6 years, but only recently have I begun to explore film. I have been very fortunate that my dad, second cousin, and grandparents have kept multiple film cameras and equipment over the years, and consented to let me use it! I have been working with a Pentax Spotmatic mainly, but I just acquired two polaroids from my Grandpa.

I am very excited to take these cameras out and test them, particularly at my horse stable. The light is gorgeous at all times of day, and there are always wonderful subjects to photograph, from horses to plants and flowers!

I just made the tough decision to quit my wedding photography business. There are so many creative things I want to have the time to do and my creative spirit needs some time to heal (the expectations from clients can zap creative inspiration after a while).

I just bought my first polaroid sx-70 and I am soooo excited to do something completely different from digital photography. My creative spirit needs imperfection and dreamy pictures. Photographs don't have to be perfect. Sorry to ramble! I'm just excited about my new polaroid and where it is going to take me creatively. I'm going to be taking pictures of everything!
