My Weekend in Words and Cell Phone Photography

This (LONG) weekend consisted of:

-my first time visiting Texas

-seeing tons of great friends from far away

-barely sleeping

-basking in the warm weather

-eating heroic quantities of Tex-Mex

-remembering the Alamo (and learning what actually happened at the Alamo, ha!)

-lots of cocktails

-lots of networking

-loving my job

-realizing that our clever plan to come home through Atlanta backfired due to a freak snow storm, being stuck in San Antonio

-trying to make the best of the delay and treat it as an extra mini-vacation

-finally making it home LATE Monday night, just beating a snowstorm

-wanting to sleep for a week straight, then go back and do it all again!

I hope you had a great weekend!

I am so excited that you shared these photos as I am going to San Antonio for the first time Friday! I am visiting a friend who has lived there for a couple years so we have a tour guide, but any good suggestions for eats/shopping/sites? We are only staying until Monday so want to pack a lot in!

I do believe the building in the background of your first couple photos is the Emily Morgan, hands down the nicest hotel I've stayed in before (and supposedly haunted). We had a room right there on the corner that looked down into the Alamo courtyard, such a neat view.

I live up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area but have been to San Antonio many a time. Anyone visiting should definitely check out of the several natural caverns in the vicinity. Natural Ridge Caverns springs to mind, I liked them a lot.

Looks like you had a great time! I'm glad you were able to deal with the snow storm so well. Sigh...now I want to go back to TX.
