1. The first official pages of Elsie and Rachel's Art Journaling class were all about our short-term goals. Since spring is always a crazy time of year for me, I kept my goals simple and achievable!

One of the things that this class is already teaching me is to embrace my handwriting. I've never liked it, but I'm forcing myself to use it in my book. After a week, I'm starting to enjoy writing in cursive, and even more amazingly, I'm starting to like how it looks!

2. This page is a bit sillier - I was having a rough week by Thursday and I wasn't in the mood to be serious!

3. Ah, Friday! Finally, a day that was good enough to make up for a week of tough days. It was really nice to get my happiness out on paper!

Pretty, pretty :)
I love your 3 wishes!
That's beautiful! I love the combination of patterns and colors.
I really like the look of that last one. Makes me want to try it!
these look great! i've loved working on mine so far!
your pages look great!! i have always disliked my handwriting as well so I am trying to love it.
wow, your pages are beautiful! love the bright colors and large brushstrokes, great job!
Oh so lovely. I'm just like you are about my handwriting...and really jealous of those perfect cursive people. But how could you not write in handwriting for such a project as this?
I've been creating tote bags for iviemade...definitely not as easy as pillow covers :)
I love your handwriting, but I understand the resistance to embrace your own...all through school, I was told my handwritng was awful. It turned out all I needed was glasses, but even now, I have moments when I'm still not totally happy with it. Someone told me that years from now, future generations will be so happy to find something handwritten by you. That helps me get over my discomfort.
Also, that peach woodgrain paper is gorgeous!
I'm getting inspired by you yet again, girl - and best - I don't even have to take the class! I think I'm getting the idea from seeing what you're doing.
It's absolutely lovely and I love your use of color/paint/paper & handwriting!
Best,
Tara
