What I'm Wearing: Mom's Mini Dress

Printed 60s mini dress worn as a blouse: hand-me-down from mom
Grey pleated skirt: thrifted
Belt: thrifted
Pumps: Target
Jewelry: wedding rings, pearl studs (a gift from mom and dad), gold bangle (grandma Ellen), yellow and gold enamel bangle (antique store in my hometown)

My mom recently cleaned out her closet and gave me a huge box of her vintage clothes. Among them was this adorable mini dress, which has a great keyhole neck and a really cute pattern of daisies and dots. The dress was WAY too mini for me (we are talking micro - things would have gotten embarrassing), but I thought it would work well as a blouse. This skirt is a little big without something bulky tucked into it, so I used my normal fix of yanking it up and belting it. Ta-da - an outfit!

I couldn't resist doing a few little twirls.

The weather is glorious again today, so I'm going to keep this post short and dash outside to enjoy my lunch in the sun. Happy Wednesday!!

When I see picture of my mom from her young days I always say: Why didn't you keep that dress, those pants or that shirt.." You are very lucky, and it looks great on you!

Aw, I love the way this looks, and I love the fact that it was your mother's little minidress!
So cute!

Love the outfit - you're so lucky that your mum has kept bits! My mum kept the dress she wore for her 18th birthday party, but it's teensy - my 13 yr old sister doesn't even fit in it!

Thank you, everyone! Yup, my mom is definitely a keeper of things; she hates getting rid of stuff! My sister is the opposite and gets rid of stuff constantly (I fear ever leaving something at her house, in case it ends up in a garage sale or on Ebay). I fall somewhere in between, haha.
