This makeover is slightly different than Cori's and Elsie's - Cori covered her SX-70 in vintage wallpaper, and Elsie decorated her Holga with paint. I used contact paper for mine, and gave the skin a personal touch with Sharpies. I love that I can easily remove and replace the contact paper in case I decide that I want to do something different. I used an SX-70 skin template provided by SDZN, but if you would like to try it on a different type of camera, I think it would be easy to make your own template - just traces the parts that you want to cover onto the contact paper and cut them out.

Yay, I love it!

(PS - there's a Sharpie giveaway coming up a bit later!!)

What a neat idea! So personalized and adorable. Love it!
wow! it looks awesome :D i adore sharpies - congrats on the gig !!
This is seriously adorable -- I love what you did. I get nervous around sharpies. Mostly because they're permanent and I'm a perfectionist and that's just a bad combination. But every time I pass by the Sharpies that have every color, I totally want to buy it.
That is so cute!! I can't draw a heart that good for anything!
My dream camera - the original SX70! But all purtied up & born anew. I am agog. Simply agog. Refreshes my desire to get my paws on one of these dreamy cameras, so I can sharpie it with love. :)
In lOVE with the idea... truly amazing :)
How cute! I like that you can change this up if you feel like it.

Super cute! And I love that you did it with contact paper like your sticker project, because your SX-70 can have different "outfits" if you so decide.
PS - Wooden toy giveaway & review by my 2 year old up on the blog - pretty cute and funny. Great toy to win for any little one in your life!
Best,
