More yarn-based Christmas crafts are underway! I'm pleased to report that the recycled cardboard cones worked out very well. I simply cut the cardboard into cone shapes (basically a triangle with one rounded side) of various sizes, then glued them up with hot glue. I like to think of their slight irregularity as a design element. I also decided to move in a different direction with the garland. I'll give you a clue: it involves pom-poms! There is something so satisfying about making these. I whipped up a batch while we played Wii and ate brownies last night. Definitely a good use of time on a cold, cold night.
Other things I'm happy about this morning: waking up to find big fat snowflakes drifting down from the sky, the release of the new issue of Lonny Mag (looks fantastic!), and having the whole day to let my brain spend some quality time here (finals week means no lecture to prepare for class tomorrow!). I hope you have a great day, too!
