Christmas-ey

Sigh. Sometimes family can be the hardest thing. I suppose it's all part of life though, and part of living it with other people. Because sometimes family can be the best thing, too.

Enough gloom; overall this has been a really wonderful Christmas, with just a few little hiccups. Here are two of my favorite things I received, although neither was an official gift: my mom's first camera - an Argoflex Seventy-Five - and a miniature cardboard Christmas village that I found in one of my hometown antique stores for a song. Would it be okay to set these up on our mantel when we get home and just leave them up until next year?

If I found an affordable cardboard Christmas village, I would so leave it up all year. My family had one under the tree, but when my parents retired and moved, they THREW IT AWAY. (I only found out after it was gone) So enjoy your village and display it proudly!!!

You should definitely leave your village up... maybe you could put grass instead of snow on the ground and decorate it seasonally!

Cool camera... old film cameras will always be fun to have and experiment with.

Oh my gosh, that is painful, Dragonridermom! Maybe one will find its way back to you. I love the idea of decorating it seasonally, Lyddie - we'll see if Nate goes for it, haha.

that webpage will show you how to spool 120 film to work in a 620 film camera. In this way you can use the camera as original.
