I am a list maker by nature; it's part of my
INFJ personality type (do you think my devotion to
Myers-Briggs personality type indicators is also a function of my personality type?). I constantly have to-do lists of different varieties going, and I start every morning by sitting down at my desk to review the day's list and make additions and changes (I'm also a big fan of putting things that I've already done on my lists, just so I can have the satisfaction of crossing them off). Given my love of lists, it doesn't seem like I should have such a hard time making a list of things I want for Christmas. Nevertheless, I struggle with the task every single year. After
a lot of thinking, here's what I came up with for Christmas '09:
- A vintage Kodak Duaflex camera
{Kodak Duaflex I}
- Craft Books are a given:
Pet Projects, Boutique Knits, One Yard Wonders, and
101 Designer One Skein Wonders all made the list this year.

- Any of the the new Penguin Classics, but I'd especially love one of my favorites:
The Picture of Dorian Gray,
Pride and Prejudice,
Jane Eyre, or
Wuthering Heights.

- A Clover Mini Iron (hopefully this will result in fewer scorched fingers when I try to press tiny seams)

- A Gary Fong Puffer Pop-up Flash Diffuser (I almost never use my flash because it's so harsh; I'm hoping that this will open it up as an option)

-A subscription to Artful Blogging

What are you hoping to find under the tree this year?

I have the puffer and the mini iron and don't know how I lived without either.
I would suggest requesting a mini iron with changeable faces like the Clover® Mini Iron II & Assortment Tips. Price is double, though.
Those penguin classics are fantastic, and will probably be appearing on my list
Other than that I haven't a clue (but new stuff is always appreciate!)

Actually, while there are other personality types who find Myers-Briggs interesting, those in the NF category rely on it more than others because of their focus on interpersonal relationship (if they're E) or introspection (if they're I). :-)
However, despite also being an INFJ, I currently don't have a list though my ISTJ husband has been begging me for one.
about the flash, I always use a peice of masking tape, taped over the flash head, simple diffuser! and cheap
and the book one yard wonders is on my wish list too
Thanks for the tip, Cottoncostumes! The changeable head feature does sound handy.
I'm really hoping for the Penguins, Rhiannon! I recently saw some in a shop, and they are even prettier in person. Love.
Bethany, you are my Myers-Briggs guru!
I'm going to try that flash tip, Michelle! Thanks!
The photo on the cover of the pet projects book is enough to make me want it - haha.
In the world of impossible, there would be a digital SLR under my tree (and i wouldn't even be picky about which one)
But really I'd be completely happy with the silver bird ring from target and a big canister of peppermint hot cocoa
Isn't that dog adorable lyddie? I think I mostly want the book for the pictures - I'm not sure how many of the projects I would actually make. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your DSLR, but that silver bird ring is really pretty, too!
I got my Duaflex at a flea Market this summer and love messing with it. A friend's mother passed away who had a collection of old cameras - he gave me the entire collection for $10. I'm blessed! I'm hoping the Duaflex from that group has a cleaner lens (although I don't mind the "vintage" dust and scratches).
Artful Blogging- I buy every issue. Love it.
Flash diffuser- I'd like one too- thanks for the idea for my list!
Mini iron- I have this one and love it. I use it for encaustic work. I am terrible at sewing.
Oooh, lucky you on the two Duaflexes! I'm hoping to use mine for TTV photography - have you tried it?
Oooh, that puffer thing is nifty. Did you end up getting one for Christmas? Do you like it? I hate using my flash - gah, so bright and washes out everything.
Also, I am an INFJ too! Total nuts we are. :)
