1. These pincushions from The Purl Bee seem almost too nice for such a utilitarian job, but they would make great gifts for crafty friends!


2. I'm itching to make the Lindsay cape from Burdastyle: it would be perfect for the back-and-forth weather we've been having lately. Of course, I already own a capelet (er, two actually), but it counts as a basic, right?
