Halloween in The Village

What does one do when one returns from Halloween weekend to discover that one has merely a single crummy, poorly-cropped photo of one's 'The Prisoner' inspired costume?

Why, Poloroid it, of course!

On Nate (as Number 6):
-Black blazer: thrifted, white bias binding trim added by me
-Black mock-turtleneck: accidentally left at home, stranded on Nate's desk chair. This polo is what he happened to be wearing earlier in the day. Oops.
-Khaki Pants: Banana Republic
-Faux Converse All-Stars: Meijer
-Number badge embroidered by me (to finish it off, I backed it on a circle of black felt, then added a pinback)

On Me (as a fictional Number 36, keeping my eye on Number 6):
-Navy ruffled mini-dress: The Fashion Point (Pompei, Italy). I had plans to sew a much more 60s style mini-dress, but of course, the weeks before Halloween didn't go quite as we had planned them. Oh well, this was in my closet and made for a decent back up.
-Navy and grey striped sweater (for warmth under the dress!): American Eagle years and years ago
-Grey felt cape: gift from my brother and sister-in-law a few Christmases ago
-Grey and black striped tights: TJ Maxx
-Red and navy striped socks: vendor at the Kentucky Sheep and Wool Festival
-Red and blue mod silk scarf: thrifted
-Black ruffled flats: Payless
-Number badge embroidered by me (I used strips of felt to make mine a rosette style)

Our Halloween consisted of dinner at The Brown, followed by drinks and live jazz at the Seelbach, people-mocking watching at 4th street live, and finally back to our hotel to relax and watch silly action movies. All in all, an excellent night.

Breaking out the vintage travel bar for a party that was *much* more our style than the madness downtown

I hope you all had happy Halloweens!

1 picture is better than none, and this looks great as a poloroid--almost as though you planned it that way! I'm glad you had an excellent time.

Sounds like you guys had fun, and your costumes look great! Looks like they were a lot of fun to put together, anyway, though I've never seen the show :)

I want that vintage bar set BAD! Where did you find that?

Thanks, everyone! Yup, we had a great time. Sometimes you are just having too much fun to take pictures, I guess!

Cherry Tree Lane, that bar belongs to our friends - I found it on a recent thrifting trip, hidden amongst yucky 80s thermoses and old Christmas tins. I was so excited when I realized what it was! Nate and I also have one that we found on Etsy several years ago. I've also seen them on Ebay. Aren't they fantastic?
