Since I find sleep impossible on a plane, I also got some crafting done in the air and knitted up two soakers (wool covers to go over cloth diapers - yes, the name kind of grosses me out, too) for my new niece or nephew. As far as things that are made to be peed on go, they are pretty adorable. I haven't seamed them yet, but I'll try to get a picture up when I do.

Sleeping on a plane is officially impossible - I speak as a woman still awake at whatever time it is now (half 2 UK time according to my computer), having woken up at 8am Boston time yesterday....
Wish they'd have let me knit, but I was told my needles would be confiscated :(
Have fun on the digs - you could find the next big thing?

Hope you're having fun! I'm officially jealous.
Soakers are the best! Rhiannon - are you serious?? They would confiscate knitting needles??? That's crazy!
I've heard of people having needles confiscated, but luckily have never had it happen to me. Apparently it helps to carry small bamboo needles (which are supposedly less threatening than big metal ones) and to have a project going on them when you go through security. I follow those tips and haven't had a problem yet...knock on wood!
