What I'm Wearing: Winter Makes a Comeback

Sometimes I think that Ohio is a rather sadistic state. It gives us weeks of spring, convinces us that we have nothing to worry about ("It will be blossoming trees and warm sunsets from here on out, folks!" "Go ahead and put those winter clothes away!" "No more need for a jacket in this state!"), then BAM, more winter. After nearly a month of springlike weather, it actually SNOWED yesterday. Ugh. Today I decided to let the weather dictate my black and grey outfit. I'm hoping to move onto brighter (and warmer!) things soon.

Dress: vintage, thrifted, hemmed and taken-in
Sweater: Ann Taylor, purchased ages ago on massive sale and starting to show its age (boo!)
Tights: TJ Maxx?
Pumps: Target
Jewelry: Wedding rings, vintage brooch (from grandma Ellen), dangly earrings (my wedding day earrings, purchased for less than five bucks at H&M; I thought this outfit could use a little extra sparkle).

Oh, I completely understand the OH crummy weather thing. I live in IN, so I just get the crappy weather before you do.

Long time lurker...first time poster (At least I don't think I've posted before!)

I woke up to snow this morning as well...damn the Quebec weather! Just when I was getting used to wearing flip flops too.
Good outfit though :D

The weather is doing that here too in the UK. I think its unfair as I was really getting used to feeling all warm and summery....
Oh well, better dig the thick jumpers back out!

Great outfits. Your students must feel inclined to forsake the wadded up jeans and faded t-shirts when they attend your class. Good for you!

Thanks, everyone! The weather was nice yesterday, but is yucky again today. Here's hoping that it settles down into true springtime soon!

Huge fan of all the pretty rhinestone details! Love it. It really does help welcome back the icky cold weather. ;)
