For me?

I received some fantastic presents in the mail last week. I LOVE getting mail (well, fun mail - bills and credit card offers can stay away, thank you very much), and mail from crafty friends is the best type of all, since I know that there will always be something wonderful inside.

First up are these pretty buttons from Mags and Me. I was lucky enough to win the button giveaway that she hosted a few weeks back. I love how she packaged these - she stretched packing tape sticky-side-up over a piece of cardstock, then stuck all of the buttons onto the tape. It was so fun to open the package and see all the colorful buttons looking back at me! Every single button jar has now gained some new members.

I was also thrilled to receive an incredibly beautiful and thoughtful swap package from Craftster OneRedBoot. She and I partnered up for the current Invite Your Partner swap, and wow, did she do a great job crafting for me! First, she sent me some gorgeous knitted goodies to keep me warm and toasty through the rest of winter. The lovely blue yarn is made out of plastic bags, if you can believe it, and I wish I could let you feel it through the screen - it's so soft and cozy. She also sent along a cabled sleeve for my coffee cup, which has been getting lots of comments in the library. I love how sweet it makes my rather boring travel mug look. Finally, she made a beautiful and useful knitting set, with a needle roll and a matching tote for my projects. I'm going to be the envy of knitting group!

The needle roll: look at how perfectly she matched the pattern!

Thanks to you both!

Mail is a true joy. I love seeing it, grabbing it and then running in the house to open it! Like Christmas!
